VET LMS - brings Power & Control to the VET LMS space
There are many, many learning management systems available, with a wide variety of pricing and delivery models. The problem is not what these learning management systems do, it is what they don’t do.
RTOs already struggle under a burden of constant review, auditing and bureaucracy, a Learning Management System [LMS] represents yet another stand alone system that an administrator needs to key data into and pull reports out from. For many RTOs, an LMS represents yet another drain on resources and so they are put off.
Used properly the combination of a robust and scalable eLearning system with engaging and innovative learning materials release other wise stretched resources to allow growth without the need for the burden of added infrastructure.
VET LMS is built using the JWGecko Content Management System CherryCMS. It is build using the same tools, features and interface as the VETtrak ONline product set. The end to end and seamless processing of training promotion, enrolment, online learning, Portal Access and overall integration with VETtrak is a major advantage to RTOs using VETtrak however the same tool set is available to any standards complaint Training Management System.
VET LMS is a learning management system with advanced presentation capabilities that put it at the top end of current product offerings, however our commitment to SCORM compliance sets us above many others in the sector without the hefty licensing and user based costs many other products charge.

POWER!!!
- VET LMS is integrated into VETtrak; enrolments happen seamlessly, assessments and events are passed back as well. UOC achievements are recorded automatically. This means that the application actually saves time and administration rather than adding to it.
- Mapped Units of Competency: Often learning programmes are structured in different ways to the qualification they represent, a UOC may be completed as part of a course rather than being all of the course. VET LMS allows you to allocate learning material to a UOC irrespective of the course structure. This makes concurrent learning far simpler and can speed up payment for DET funded courses. ~ VETtrak customers are able to import qualification and UOC files directly and then map content to eLearning material through an easy to use web interface.
- Assessment tasks can be as simple or as complex as you wish; VET LMS is able to map assessment questions [and UOC content] to a specific paragraph within a page, section or module. By tying content and assessment questions together revision is easier and learning outcomes much improved. ~ Assessment can be imported into the application in a simple text file and then presented in a professional well structured template. - Assessment layer: TheVET LMS assessment layer allows the administrator to decide on how simply or sophisticated assessment needs to be on a course by course basis. Questions are able to be pooled and recycled or kept separate for the main assessment. Progress through the course can be restricted and funnelled on a linear basis with progression restriction or learning could be a free for all study as you wish approach.
- Upload your course structure in a text file and VET LMS build the structure for you. Using a simple text file structure an online view of your new course using 'tabs' to structure the datas importance in the scheme and the application will structure it for you.

Overview
The VET LMS provides a fully featured LMS that is also closely integrated with VETtrak. And as VETtrak LMS is built upon our Cherry CMS framework, it can also be closely integrated with a website you can manage.
The LMS is flexible in terms of course structure and learning approaches, and supports reusable content with SCORM.
